In New Orleans (USA) full-scale infiltration tests of green infrastructure facilities have been conducted testing whether various rain gardens, bioswales, and permeable pavements perform in the way they were designed to, and what contribution they make to the city’s overall challenging water (storage) assignment.

The results show highly varying performances. Moreover, the effectiveness of rain gardens and bioswales can be improved. All results are published in scientific journal(s): https://www.mdpi.com/2073-445X/12/1/171
